What should I pack?

Wondering what to put in your kid's camp backpack? Here are some suggestions from Studio One's staff.

Do pack:

1. A lunch and morning snack (on field trip days too!)--Studio One will provide an afternoon snack.

2. Art can be messy! Make sure your child is wearing comfortable clothes that they (and you!) don't mind getting paint-splattered, clay-streaked, glue-sticked or Papier-mâchéd. You can always pack a smock or an old button down shirt to be worn over their clothes.

3. Sturdy shoes or sneakers: We want our campers to be active--pack them with sneakers and shoes appropriate for playground games and classes that require physical activity like dance and martial arts. Save their sandals and flip flops for the beach!

4. If your child is going swimming (Thursdays for Fine Arts Camp/Fridays for Weekly Arts Camp) remember to pack:

  • a Bathing suit or swim trunks, a towel and sunblock are mandatory.
  • swimming shoes, a swim cap and/or goggles if you feel they are needed
  • Remember: floaties, wake boards, flippers, and water toys are NOT allowed in the pool.

Don't pack:
  • Toys
  • iPod/iPad
  • Video game devices

**If your child has medical equipment (Epi Pens, insulin, etc.) or medication, please check them into the Studio One office.**
